Notes #

Pairing #

Pair the SMaBiT AV2010/24 Smoke Detector to Zigbee2MQTT by holding it close to the coordinator and pressing the button for about 10 seconds. The indicator light will flash red once and/or the alarm will beep twice to indicate it is in pairing mode. The SMaBiT AV2010/24 Smoke Detector should now be visible in the Zigbee2MQTT Devices overview.

Activating the alert #

Activating the alert is done by sending a JSON

{"warning":{"duration":1,"mode":"burglar","strobe":false,"level":"high"}}

This gives an audible alert with the LED flashing of around 2 seconds duration.

If you set strobe to true it’ll not work. Level “low” does not give a sound, the other valid levels don’t make a difference in loudness. There doesn’t not seem to be a difference between different modes.

The device seems to be a little bit picky about switching off - set both “mode”:”none” and “duration”:1 - but to another value than before.
